Alternate Perspective
For Alex's latest photo assignment, he was tasked with capturing alternate perspective photography. Instead of just taking photos from eye level, Alex had to get creative and find unique angles to shoot from in order to see the object or scene from an alternate perspective. Alex told me that the real key to nailing alternate perspective photography was to think outside the box. To successfully accomplish this project he would have to get down on the ground, shoot from above, or even tilt his camera at odd angles to shake up the usual view. Overall, Alex said the only way to shoot alternate perspective Is to look at the world from different angles and have the idea to capture it on camera. His favorite image in this series Alternate Perspective 2 due to the worms view its taken and how the smooth bright green grass sticks out against the rough tree bark and background. His second favorite image is Alternate Perspective 5 because in order for him to take this picture, he had to lay down on the ground and get the rotted inside of this tree from the ground looking up which shows such a unique perspective.
