Framing
Alex was assigned to shoot photography from an angle or perspective that frames the subject by bringing the viewers attention right to the focus point. The whole point of frame photography is to successfully frame the subject in a way that helps to lead your eyes directly to the subject and not the background or the foreground. By blocking off a part of the image to form a frame around a point of interest, the viewer can dramatically see the focal point and not anything else. One of Alex's favorite photos is Framing 2 due to the unique bird worms point of view looking right through a rear sprocket of a dirt bike bringing your eyes straight to the dirtbike that Alex says is framed perfectly. Alex said he was walking through the woods trail in his neighborhood shooting for framing when he noticed his neighbor taking a peaceful walk through the woods. Alex saw the two trees aligning the outside of the photo through his lens and decided to frame the man walking. But as he kept taking photos, the young man turned back eventually and saw him which made Alex pick this as his second favorite photo making almost a silhouette almost in framing 3.
