Texture
The objective for Texture was to capture the feeling of a rough or smooth images to make the viewer really enhance the detail of the texture. Texture in photography is not much different than in other contexts. If you imagine reaching out, closing your eyes, and touching a photo, texture is how it would feel. This assignment was unique for Alex because it reminded him that the amount of light you need is key to a good texture photo. In order to take a good texture image, Alex had to find a lot of natural light in order to bring the aperture up. He was at his lake house up early in the morning fishing when he noticed the rough rippled water against the smooth wooden dock. He also loves how it was super foggy and made the light shine out a bit as well as the perspective of leading lines on the dock which this is one of Alex's favorite photos. His second favorite image is is Texture 1 due to the shallow depth of field and the blurry but cool background to give the photo more compsoition.
